IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM CLLR JIM DEVINE
Reference: APP/A0665/W/25/3359308

Good people of Barnton, I bring to your attention to the construction of a commercial scale Photovoltaic Solar Park including a battery energy storage system and other associated system development at Winnington.

Last June I attended the planning meeting at CWaC, with other parish/town and Ward councillors, all of whom objected to the application brought by Infiniti Solar Developments and Green Earth Developments in collaboration with Tata
CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL REFUSED THE APPLICATION

The aforementioned groups have now applied to central government to overturn that decision

We are dealing with a huge international corporation who have deep pockets and are not interested in the opinions of Barnton and local areas and only interested in profit for themselves.

Scratch the surface and you will see the real reason for the construction of this Solar farm, this is greenwashing on what is a huge landfill operation and on completion will provide free power to Tata’s nearby plant

Approximately up to 400 HGVs a day will enter and exit Wallerscote Road, Winnington (200 each way)
As land owners Tata will receive around £70.00 per load for accepting low grade landfill (almost 1 million pounds per week)
The estimate is the project could go on for 4 or 5 years, but in reality there is no end date.

BARNTON IS FACING is years of extra HGVs, IN THEIR THOUSANDS trundling through our village

These vehicles will be paid per load so don’t expect them to respect our roads or speed limits
We will have fumes, dust and vibrations as well as the risk to life and limb during this period.

2 routes are envisaged - one through the centre of Barnton and the other towards and over Northwich town Bridge
I implore you to go on CWaC planning portal for more information

We will have years of health hazards
We will have 100,s of heavy goods vehicles crossing ancient listed monuments - Winnington Swing bridge and the stone bridge that was where the last battle of the civil war took place.

Please don't think that councils are against Solar power
Tata have the option to install these panels on their roof tops, car parks and their own land

If you are against this planning application, PLEASE make your views known both to CWaC and central government;-
